국제공정무역기구, 다자간 파트너십 글로벌딜에 동참

국제공정무역기구는 스웨덴 총리, 국제노동기구(ILO), 경제협력개발기구(OECD)가 ‘좋은 일자리와 포용적인 성장’에 대한 사회적 담론을 강화하기 위해 17개 정부, 22개 무역 조합, 12개 비즈니스, 6개의 글로벌 기관이 함께 시작한 다자간 파트너십인 글로벌딜(The Global Deal)에 참여하도록 초대받았다. 스웨덴 대사이자, 글로벌딜의 코디네이터인 소피아는 “국제공정무역기구가 글로벌딜의 파트너십에 함께 하게 된 것에 매우 기쁘다. 공정무역의 업무는 글로벌 딜의 목표와 매우 닮아있다. 우리는 이 다자간의 파트너십을 통해 노동 시장의 과제를 공동으로 해결하고 더 많은 사람들이 세계화의 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 지원할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Fairtrade International has been invited to join the Global Deal – a multi-stakeholder partnership initiated by the Swedish Prime Minister, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) – aiming to enhance social dialogue for decent work and inclusive growth. Sofia Östmark, Swedish Ambassador and Coordinator for the Global Deal, shared, "We are very pleased that Fairtrade has joined the Global Deal partnership. The work of Fairtrade is very much in line with the objectives of the Global Deal and we look forward to working together in this multi-stakeholder partnership to jointly address the challenges in the labour market and enabling more people to benefit from globalisation."

DeLonghi Kenwood Korea has launched its own Fairtrade beans. In order to add value on its bean, after discussing with Fairtrade Korea, DeLonghi has decided to develop its own Fairtrade beans. Four different beans are launched; blend one called Rich Aroma; single origins from Colombia, Indonesia and Brazil. DeLonghi has expressed its strong CSR-based values through its initiate with Fairtrade, by providing healthy and ethical Fairtrade products to their customers and contributing to sustainable lives of small coffee farmers.
